Cash ratings give an indicator of how secure a safe is. The higher the cash rating, the more secure the safe. Your insurance company will typically cover a cash loss from the safe up to an amount equal to the cash rating, or up to an amount equal to ten times the cash rating in the case of valuables such as jewellery. Safes with a cash rating greater than €150,000 provide the highest possible security. They will have been tested to the European EN 1143-1 burglar resistance standard and can withstand prolonged attack from the most sophisticated of tools.
